We launched The Great Courses Plus in 2015 so that members could experience the Great Courses through video streaming. The popularity of Great Courses Plus grew quickly, but so did the demand for new types of learning experiences. We decided it was time to leave the podium and venture beyond traditional academic content.

We've been adding new content over the last year, such as personal development, travel series, and topical current events. This year, we're expanding even more, bringing on new partners who offer how-to hobby lessons, in-depth documentaries, tutorials, and so much more.

We knew we needed to change our name now that we are offering more than "courses." We'd like to take this opportunity to introduce you to Wondrium.

Wondrium is a place where you can find answers to everything you've ever wondered about, as well as some things you never thought you'd wonder about. Our carefully curated content is still comprehensively educational, relentlessly entertaining, and presented by engaging experts—but there are so many more ways to learn and things to learn about now.

In a nutshell, Wondrium is a haven for curious minds.

If you are already a TGC Plus member, your membership has been upgraded for free. Your membership fee remains unchanged, and you will continue to receive all of the benefits that came with your TGC Plus membership, such as discounts on Great Courses DVDs and free shipping.

With your Wondrium subscription, you can now access hundreds of new videos, documentaries, series, and other learning experiences. Even if you don't have a membership, you can still count on articles, interviews, and more at The Great Courses Daily—and there's plenty more on the way.
