Depending on your stated needs, the company will search its database for an appropriate tutor who they believe is the best fit for you.

Price: How Much Does Varsity Tutors Charge

Varsity Tutors typically charges $50-95 per hour for online tutoring, depending on grade level and number of hours purchased. This puts them ahead of the competition, and if your student requires a significant amount of consistent tutoring, the costs may add up, and a pay as you go system may be more appropriate.

One thing we didn't like was that their pricing isn't listed on their website. You must submit your contact information, and a representative will contact you to discuss your requirements. This makes sense because the hourly rate they would charge would be determined by factors such as the tutor's experience, the student's needs and availability, the subject matter, and so on. It does, however, make them less transparent in this regard than other tutoring services.

In general, students can expect to buy blocks of time – the more time you buy, the greater the per-hour discount.

How Flexible is their Online Tutoring?

We find Varsity Tutors to be quite adaptable.

They provide an Instant tutoring plan in which you do not need to make an appointment but can simply walk in and get help from a tutor whenever you need it. This tutor you receive is obviously based on availability and subject familiarity in this case. However, even at the last minute, students and parents reported having little difficulty finding an appropriate tutor.

The company also provides online tutoring for small groups of children, a mobile app for tutoring on the go, and a variety of learning tools, such as a bank of practice tests, flashcards, and other resources that can be accessed online. Many previous customers found it to be a very useful supplement to their homeschooling and alternative education because of the wide range of subjects.

Varsity also has a 24-hour cancellation policy, which means that you only need to give about 24 hours notice before canceling a session, which is less than some of the competition.
