Pluralsight Costs: What makes the most sense?

Does Pluralsight offer a Free trial?


Pluralsight doesn’t exactly offer free courses, but what it does offer is a 10-day free trial or 200 minutes of access to its content (whichever you use first).

Pluralsight 10 day free trial

Pluralsight Standard and Premium free trial

An individual learner can choose between the Standard or the Premium plan. You have the option to be billed Monthly or Yearly.

The Standard Free Trial includes;

The Premium Free Trial includes;

To sign up with a free trial with Pluralsight you must enter your first and last name, email address plus a debit/credit card or your Paypal information. After the 10 days of your free trial is finished, you will begin to be charged on the 11th day (If you don’t want your trial to convert to a paid subscription, you must cancel it before the free trial expires).

Free Trial for a Team



The free trial is not only offered to individuals, if you are a team or business you have the option of a free team trial or pilot with 2 out of its 3 team plans. The Professional and the Enterprise offer a 14-day free trial.

To access the Professional and Enterprise team trial or pilot, you will need to enter a credit/debit card to start either.

Paid Individual Subscription Plans

Pluralsight offers two different Pluralsight subscription plans for individual users. The two paid models available are the Standard and the Premium.
Individual Strategy
The individual plan offers a monthly plan for $29 per month and an annual plan for $299 for the entire year (a 14 percent savings), which works out to just under $25 per month. You will have access to the entire video course library (7,500+), as well as certificates of completion, channels, paths, Skill IQ, and Role IQ.


In addition to the Individual plan for single users, there is a Premium plan for $449 per year. The Premium plan includes everything that the Individual plan does, plus some additional features such as;

Business subscriptions

Starter Plan

The most basic plan starts at $399 per user (per employee) per year and includes access to the core library (2,500+ courses). Its features include the ability to create channels, participate in course discussions, complete exercise files, and use the mobile and TV apps. In addition, offline viewing and access to the Skill and Role IQ are available.

Professional Strategy

You will have access to an expanded library of video courses (7,000+), interactive courses, projects, and Kaplan certification practice exams for $579 per user (per employee) per year. You will also have access to powerful analytics and user organization tools in addition to these features.


  • Administrators of the plan can organize learners into teams and appoint team managers.
  • Billing and subscriptions can be managed by plan administrators.
  • Plan administrators and team managers can view detailed analytics on content, usage, skills, and other topics.
  • To align learning, plan administrators and team managers can use company-wide channels.

Business Strategy


The Enterprise plan costs $779 per user (per employee) and includes all of the features of the Professional Plan as well as SSO integration, API access, data export, and options for other powerful add-ons.

Payment Methods and Currencies Accepted




Pluralsight subscription plans can be purchased with a debit/credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover) or through Paypal. American Express is only available in US dollars.


You can pay in USD (United States Dollar), EUR (Euro), GBP (British Pound), or INR (Indian Rupee) (Indian Rupees). You will also be charged tax on your subscription depending on the location of your billing information, which varies by country, state, and country.

When you first sign up for Pluralsight, you will be asked to enter your payment method in the Payment section, which can be either a credit card or a PayPal account. Even if you are doing a free trial, you must still enter your payment information.

Please keep in mind that if you do not wish to continue with one of Pluralsights' subscriptions, you must cancel before your free trial expires.

Pluralsight Subscription Upgrade

  • Select Manage Subscriptions.
  • Change or Upgrade should be selected.
  • Click the Confirm button.
Keep in mind that if you decide to downgrade your Premium subscription to a monthly or annual subscription, you will not receive a refund because Pluralsights subscriptions are non-refundable.

Renewal and Cancellation of Pluralsight Subscriptions

Your monthly and annual subscriptions will renew on the same day each month or year that you signed up. If you decide not to renew your Pluralsight subscription, make sure to cancel it before it renews automatically.

If you decide to cancel your Pluralsight subscription, simply follow these four simple steps:

  • Click the Subscription & Billing tab on the Account page.
  • Select Manage Subscriptions.
  • Click the Cancel button.
  • Click the cancelation confirmation button.

Keep in mind that canceling your subscription does not result in the deletion of your account.


Pluralsight does not provide refunds, but if you cancel your subscription, you will still have access to the course content until the end of your paid subscription period (either of that month or year).
